From 18 – 20 September 2025, the heart of Africa’s business capital – Sandton, Johannesburg – became the global stage for entrepreneurship, innovation, and collaboration as the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (YEA) Summit brought together more than 650 delegates from across the G20 nations and African Union member states.
Zawadi Concepts had the immense honor of serving as the Event Lead Agency, responsible for the planning, coordination, and seamless execution of the Summit and its pre-summit experiences. This was not simply an event – it was a celebration of the future of global entrepreneurship, and we are grateful to have played a role in bringing it to life.
A Curated Series of Experiences – Beyond the Summit
The G20 YEA Summit was preceded by a week of curated engagements across Johannesburg – each designed to foster connection, build community, and set a dynamic tone for the Summit.
12 September – G20 YEA Pre-Summit Golf Day
Hosted at the iconic Houghton Golf Club, we welcomed 124 golfers for a day of networking on the greens. The atmosphere was vibrant, collaborative, and beautifully reflective of South Africa’s hospitality.
15 September – Global Business Networking Event
In partnership with Business Day and Arena Media, we hosted a powerful global networking experience – an evening where entrepreneurs connected, exchanged ideas, and laid foundations for future collaboration.
16 September – Women’s Luncheon & Masterclass
Hosted at the elegant Summer Place in Hyde Park, this gathering placed women at the center of global entrepreneurship conversations. A day of sisterhood, strategy, celebration, and shared purpose.
17 September – JSE Horn Blowing & Opening of the Stock Market
A symbolic and inspiring moment took place at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, where delegates marked the opening of the trading day – a nod to economic power and future investment opportunities.
18 September – China/Africa Bilateral Dialogue
An intimate diplomatic and business exchange focused on emerging markets, collaboration, energy partnerships, and cross-border entrepreneurship growth.
🇿🇦 A Spectacular Opening Ceremony
Hosted by Brand South Africa, the official opening ceremony celebrated culture, identity, innovation, and the spirit of ubuntu.
Leadership Assembly – Sun City
From 21 – 23 September, leaders from across the alliance travelled to Sun City Resort for a strategic reflection and planning assembly. This included networking, a safari game drive, and a Bush Boma experience under the African stars – a powerful close to a meaningful Summit journey.
